Lochinvar water heater age by serial number

Reviewed 1 primary sourceSee sources

Lochinvar, part of A. O. Smith, publishes its serial layouts in a warranty reference. Tank water heaters used a two-letter year-and-month code until 2011, then an 11-character code that starts with the year and week.

Covers: Lochinvar tank-type water heaters (residential and commercial tanks, Hi-Power and jacketed tanks). Lochinvar boilers and some other series use different layouts.
